How To Create New Equipment

The Equipment Manager enables you to create new equipment objects. You are able to either create a parametric component using an existing equipment template, or create a cell based component by creating a cell (or importing an existing cell) and assigning equipment property values to it.
  1. Select Equipment Manager from the Bentley Raceway and Cable Management Detail Design Tasks Palette.
  2. In the Equipment Data section, click the New > Parametric from template option.
  3. In the Open dialog, select an existing equipment template file (*.xml) file to load into the Equipment Manager.
  4. The settings for each equipment component is saved as an .xml file.
  5. This will load the settings of the existing component which can be used as a template.
  6. Modify the settings for the component as desired.
  7. Click the Save icon to display the Save As dialog.
  8. Enter a name for the Equipment Component and click Save to complete the process.
